How it all began

Every meaningful product begins with a problem. Ours began at home — with gums that kept bleeding and hurting, and a search that would not end until a paste worth sharing took shape.

01

A problem that would not ease

In Kullu, our founder lived with persistent gum problems for years — bleeding when he brushed, recurring discomfort, and the quiet frustration of trying one thing after another without lasting ease. If you have brushed gently and still seen blood on the bristles, you already know that feeling.

This was never about spotting a market gap. There was no plan to launch a brand. Our founder simply needed something he could rely on for his own mouth — and nothing he had tried felt steady enough to stay with.

02

Herb by herb, year by year

When familiar options ran out of answers, our founder turned to what the family already understood: Ayurvedic oral care and the herbs of the Himalayas. Over several years he tried different combinations — adjusting, setting aside, trying again — until the paste met a standard he trusted enough to keep using himself.

He shared it first with family and close friends. They used it honestly, told him what felt right and what did not, and that feedback shaped the formulation further. What left the kitchen was not a marketing idea. It was something people around him were already reaching for.

03

Because people kept asking

By then, family and close friends were returning for refills — not out of loyalty to a name that did not exist yet, but because the paste had become part of how they cared for their gums. In 2009, when people outside the home began asking for tubes of their own, making enough to share felt like the natural next step. No one sat down to pitch a company. The need had simply grown wider than one kitchen.

For roughly the next ten years, the core formulation stayed largely as it was. The people using it had found something steady. When adjustments came later, they came from real customer feedback — always with the same Himalayan herb philosophy intact.

After our founder passed, the family carried the work forward in Kullu. We still manufacture in-house, with 100% vegetarian ingredients, no artificial sweeteners, and a gentle foaming agent added only because long-time users asked for it. Families across Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana have stayed with us for more than fifteen years — many with the same gum concerns that started this journey.

  1. Kullu

Persistent gum problems — bleeding, discomfort, and the quiet search for something that would settle.

  2. Several years

Combinations of Himalayan Ayurvedic herbs refined through trial, and honest feedback from those closest to us.

  3. 2009

Shishodia Ayurvedic Toothpaste made available to more families who kept asking for it.

  4. Today

The same philosophy continues — with thoughtful refinements shaped by customer feedback.

When a paste earns trust at home, people ask for another tube long before anyone thinks to call it a brand.

The intention has not changed

More than two decades on, every tube we make in Kullu is still for people who want to look after their gums with honest Ayurvedic care — the same reason the first herbs were mixed at home.
